EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Presented in conjunction with the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, in this WonderRoot Artist Feature, art curator and historian Sarah Lewis talks with WR Interactive Media Manager Floyd Hall about what inspired her new book, "The Rise", including the distinction between mastery and perfectionism, critique in the arts, and reinvigorating dialogue around arts funding and education. Lewis also discusses how she recognizes innovation in the arts, and reflects on the current pop culture appeal of art and her past curatorial work with Jay-Z and the Barclays Center.
